HK 990 will change the philosophy of the stereo integrated amplifier by including a powerful digital audio processor. The dual technology with both an analog and a digital preamp, in the the same product, allows you to decide whether to run a pure analog input directly into the amplifier stages or to use digital inputs that are lead through the DSP processing.

HK 990 is the most powerful amplifier Harman Kardon has ever created. With 2x150 watt, 8 ohm FTC, it generates  sound that is consistent in accuracy and phase linearity. Due to its high current capability (200 amps), it can drive and control nearly all kind of stereo loudspeakers - even those with very difficult loads.
